The sound is very intense, in a good way. The only thing that hurt it was those fast staccato-ish strings (for ex. at 2:36) sound too mechanical or, I don't know, inorganic I guess? I don't know if that's a software limitation, but otherwise, great piece!

Very mellow! Sounds fine : p

noncompos responds:

Thanks! I appreciate that.

Groovy, man! I always appreciate a blending of genres. Ditto to NeXsard.

It might make more sense in experimental, but that's just me. Reminded me of Johann Johannsson.

Me when I heard this song:

Oh, okay.

That's a pretty sweet tune you've got there. I really dig the chiptune and electric guitar implementation.

LowAim responds:

Thanks for the review and glad you like it! If you enjoy the combination of instruments and haven't heard of Anamanaguchi yet you should give them a listen! They're what got me into the genre in the first place :)

I don't know if this was intentional, but I couldn't really hear any bass. Since the song is called Dance Party, I'd assume you might want some bass. Just pointing that out.

Everratic responds:

I did put bass in the song. I don't know why you didn't hear it. Thankyou for telling me though.

Getting a better recording of the vocals would significantly improve the song. I'd suggest buying (or borrowing, if you have to) a better microphone. Also, I don't know what software you have, but cut the recording of the vocals next time, because it's actually kind of off beat as it stands.

ok i got ya

This is actually a really nice sounding song, and the main reason I'm giving 3 instead of 4 or 5, is because in many areas the drums take away from the song. I'd say that the first minute and 20ish seconds wouldn't suffer at all from the removal of drums. The tune is nice enough, that it doesn't need the support of a drum beat. Of course you have somewhat of drop near 1:30, and that drum beat sounds nice. Suggestions: At around 3:00, when the jazz starts leading the song, either weaken the drums or take away some of strikes so that it's not blotting out the rather lovely song.

I was recently thinking it would be really cool if someone made a heavy electronic remix of this song, and you did. Do you think you could autotune the voice to make it even more electronic? Or is that asking for too much?

MaSterAsSter responds:

I could do that, Rather easily actually. :3 that's actually a pretty good idea. I might have to do that when I decide to work on the song a little more. c:
